Butterfield Hall
Architecturally, Butterfield is a brick block building, representing two decades of the modern functionalistic style on American campuses. Freshmen residents are automatically assigned to the LLC for their academic college, major, or program. Butterfield will mostly have students that are Engineering Majors or striving to be. Most of the students residing in an Living and Learning Community not only share common academic interests and attend some classes together, but also form study and academic support groups, share access to Residential Academic Mentors (RAMs), and attend faculty-sponsored programs within their residential communities. Butterfield not only provide living areas for freshman, but is also a dinning hall for the URI community. Butterfield serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday through Friday.

•3 Chairs
•2 Closets (not built in wall)
•2 Dressers
Each floor in Butterfield is by sex, which also has 2 bathrooms filled with 3 showers (1 handicap) and 4 stalls. Each floor will have 2 RA’s, which are there to offer any assistance. Not only are they there to answer any questions, but they will also make events for freshman to attend if they desire to do so. Also, Butterfield is currently under construction because of the new dinning hall. It will open again fall 2015. Lastly, if stay as a triple you will receive $500 dollars each semester
